With the Google algorithm update farmers a type of site that was hard was beaten article directories, including Ezine Articles ... Squidoo remember the slap down a couple of years ago.

Many people had great items in the electronic publication ranked well and sends visitors to your site. However, a lot of Ezine articles were crap, and many of them were also ranking on the first page of Google. Everyone has fallen, good and bad alike.

So now the question is, should continue to submit to electronic publishing for the purpose of article marketing? My answer is yes for a couple of reasons. One is that Ezine Articles was the best article marketing site before the upgrade, and now they have made five changes to improve the quality of presentations next article:

1. Increased quality control - Articles are spending twice as long in the review process, and its editors are paying more attention to the format, grammar, spelling and coherence

2. Wordpress Plugin and API - no longer being accepted to avoid duplication of content.

3. Dead Links - In the past, if there was a broken link Ezine gave him five weeks to fix, with numerous reports. You now have two weeks to get care.

4. Membership Level - I think they're being a little too strict on this, but now it has not complied with quality requirements within the first 10 items you send, not only the level of platinum, but are prohibited from submitting more articles. They have backtracked a bit, however, that if you are showing the progress that is going to be a little more forgiving.

5. 400 word minimum - before was 250 words, and a good writer can often get your message in that short of an item. That said, this makes more work for writers to write content that is worthwhile.
